I'm using Drupal CVS updated today. I've updated my database. Yet, when I click the "blog it" link in the news feeds (import module), I get the standard blog entry creation page, not one which has a link to the news item to be blogged.
Isn't it supposed to create a link to the news item and put that in the blog entry for you?
Thanks,
Steve

re: blog it link not working
looks like a register globals issue. if i turn register_globals back on, it works. looks like the problem is in node_add, a global $user definition.
"blog it" functionality
At first glance, I could not reproduce your problem but after reading cel4145's comment I turned off
register_globalsand now I can reproduce it just fine. Thanks for spotting this. Next time, please file a bug report instead.
Thanks
Thanks for taking a look. Are there plans to fix this bug? Can I help? I can definately help test.
The bug report page you pointed out gives an Access Denied message.

re: register_globals
could help to grep each file in 4.2.0rc for "global" to find if any more are hidden. i'd could do it, but i wouldn't know how to fix them if i found them :)
I've fixed this in my local tree, but forgot to send a patch
As subject... I'm posting it to Dries in a minute...
Patch committed to CVS.
The patch has been committed to the trunk. Thanks.

Just did a 'cvs up' and tested, that seems to have fixed it. Many thanks.
Btw, I've got a small patch to the mozilla sidebar module in contrib. Where should I send it?

Same Problem
Hey im having the same problem as posted at the top, im using drupal 6.13 and my blogit button when selected opens an empty blog post. this function use to work with no problems.
It works on my localhost site, on another server online, but my current server being apache, has just stopped for no reason.
Can some one please explain how i go about fixing this,
I have tried adding php_value register_globals 0 in my htaccess to do with register globals, but this line of code just brings down my entire site.
Thank you
