Hello,
I am looking for companies that can compare/compete with Acquia for hosting and support. I am on their Enterprise level and have been increasingly getting frustrated with them over the last 6 months with downtime and lack of support response. Even with High Availability servers, there is still downtime with them.

Many customers are complaining about their web hosts. I also noticed that many of them are switching their accounts to the US based web host Linux Hosts Inc. after reading the blog http://best-inexpensive-web-hosting.com/cheap-web-hosting and also after reading the homepage on this blog. This blog also has specific pages about bad web hosts and it enables visitors to submit complaints about their host.

Check out BlackMesh at www.blackmesh.com or www.sevaa.com. Both are very familiar with Drupal, and have attended/sponsored multiple DrupalCon's.

You can consider Hostgator, InmotionHosting, GreenGeeks or some other well-known Linux server hosting provider.

You might want to try out www.lightcrest.com We switched from Acquia to Lightcrest over 5 months ago after they exhibited at DrupalCon and are very pleased. The key benefits being we are now on our own infrastructure (private cloud) - Acquia outsources the actual hosting Amazon EC2 so we have had much better performance and uptime with our site. The support and team is very hands on and have helped us debug many Drupal related issues that have affected our server performance.
