Taxonomy_access works well except for one issue. Any user who is in a created role (not one of the default roles) sees two copies of each event in the event block. Also they see two copies of each book on the book page. I've tested this with both the released and latest CVS versions. I'm using the latest version of CivicSpace. I've also tested it in a generic CivicSpace site with no additional modules setup to make sure it wasn't interferring with any new modules.

I've discovered a work-around. The issue occurs when a user is in two roles. I altered my permissions so each role had the right permissions then removed the users in my added role from the authenticated user role.

I just upgraded from 4.5 to 4.6 and started having this same problem with my events being listed multiple times. The difference though is that the default anonymous user sees the double postings. I see that a bug was submitted about this in January at http://drupal.org/node/16412 but there's been no discussion about it.
