After the first stage of creating a view, if I click back to the previous page, machine name doesn't automatically update

When creating a new view, the 'machine name' field automatically updates itself when the name of the view changes. But if you click "Continue & edit" and, in the next page, you go back to the first page, that feature no longer works: If you change the 'view name' you also have to manually update the 'machine name'.
I'm not sure if it has other implications.
