I have seen many posts, on this site and others, related to the error message "An illegal choice has been detected. Please contact the site administrator." but none seem to deal with my particular situation. After a recent migration and upgrade, this error has started occurring when a publisher on our site tries to comment on a blog. Admin can comment without issue.

Anything interesting in log files? Start with /admin/reports/dblog but also check the system log files.
