Firstly, I thought this was an issue with AdaptiveThemes but it I am getting the same issue with Acquia Prosper. When I enable and set them as default I get a UI that is not styled. Here are the steps I followed (several times):

  1. I installed the Commerce Kickstart (2.0 rc1)
  2. I downloaded AdaptiveTheme to the theme folder sites/all/themes/adaptivetheme (I tried the 2.3 and 3.1 versions). I also tried Acquia Prosper
  3. Enabled AT Core (or Acquia Prosper) and set it as default - that's all. All is pretty much fresh install.

The result was a UI that looks like when stylesheets are missing. See here: http://dev.avocados.cz/

  • I tried it locally and on a hosting server - same results
  • I tried it with AT 2.3 and the 3.1rc and Prosper 1.x dev - same results
  • I tried moving the 3 subfolders from the theme/adaptivetheme folder up so they are directly in themes folders - same result.

Note: I originally thought this was AT theme issue, so I filed it under AT bugs. But I now believe it is something else since I am getting the same behavior for the Acquia theme.

You will have the same result with any theme that doesn't have the same regions - the layout will break. Kickstart uses Omega as a base theme and It's probably wise to use an Omega Kickstart theme since it was specifically made to work well with Kickstart.

Do you know of any premium drupal commerce theme which works well with Kickstart?
