It is being difficult to theme tabs.
It would be better if u simplefied theming of tabs or provide some tutorial on theming tabs.

I'm not a css or php guy, so I can only help in testing.
I want to theming on tabs as simple as follows

all tab link will have tablinks class and active tab link will have tablinks-active.
All tab container div will have tabdata class.
