Issue Summary
View Module doesn't check in which format is date of the field.
And it doesn't work with new Event Module where format_date() function return date 1970-01-01

1) this is the issue queu for the event module, not views module. I can't just go and patch views.module.
2) I think this is now fixed in event_views.module.
