I propably will not be using Media Mover, just wanted to check it out quick for a particular purpose, and I used it on 6.x before

I don't think that this is an issue with Media Mover, but the 7.x branch is far from stable so you probably wouldn't have much luck with it unfortunately. Sorry!

I actually manually downloaded the media_mover-7.x-1.x-dev.zip file, it installed ok, I have not tried to configure it but may just use it as a wrapper for an ftp push on cron
