Profile Pic does not get created in sites/default/files/styles/thumbnail/public/pictures
when CDN module (http://drupal.org/project/cdn) enabled

This module does not create thumbnails for user pictures. That's provided by user and image modules. If users pictures don't work at all with CDN module, then you should focus on that issue that you referenced. If user pictures don't work only when using Facebook OAuth, please reopen this issue.
