Is it possible to divide the menu tree to display in multiple blocks?
What happens if I want to display them in separate boxes .. or some on the right and some on the left sidebar .. or some at the top of the content area?
Does the menu tree have to appear all as a solid one block?

Nav menu in blocks
What's your reason? You might want to just make your own menu blocks with the functionality you want.
Lately I've had little use for the nav menu thanks to the (very cool) Administration Menu module.
