I get the option to filter Content by vocabulary , but I want to filter by the actual vocabulary term, and I dont get that option. How can i do this? thanks, Diana

I got the same question today and I also ended up by doing what you did. But still, I don't get the idea about filtering by vocabulary either.

Issue summary: View changes

For anyone who still needs help with this, go to Structure > Views.

Select the Administration: Nodes (Content) view.

Add the Filter Criteria of Has Taxonomy Term and select the Vocabulary of terms you wish to filter by.

Set this filter to be Exposed.

As a side note, I removed the Vocabulary filter, as this didn't do much for filtering content on my site (I need to search nodes with a particular term, not nodes with a term inside a vocabulary).
