Installing the module I find it doesn't update its database. That is - I assume - because the Browser Capabilities Project is closed?
As is stated here as well: http://us3.php.net/manual/en/function.get-browser.php#110549
What does this mean for this project? It stops to function slowly? There is talk about revival it on browscap.org. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/browscap/Yy3Djd1Mqvk

devin carlson commentedI believe the Browscap project is currently transitioning to a new maintainer (Gary, the old maintainer, has been selflessly keeping the project going for many years now with little help or support).
If the Browscap project relaunches then I'll update the module to support any necessary changes. In the mean time, I'll add a notice to the Browscap module's project page.
If anyone is interested in continuing to use the last release of the browscap user agent information database then I'd suggest taking a look at #749498: Provide a method for manually updating the browscap information [WORKAROUND]. I'd be happy to review and code or work with a sponsor to provide a method for manually uploading the browscap data.

mths commentedThanks, there are temporary links up as posted here:
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/browscap/pk_dkkqdXzg/yrnMQ1_89w0J
They might temporarily patch the module.

radmoose commentedHello.. I have taken the Browser Capabilities Project over from Gary Keith who ran it for 14 years and due to other issues had to sever his involvement with the project.
The Google Groups link above has information about the temporary site that will allow the "update" process to still work until we get the full BCP back online.
I do not visit Drupal.org that often so if you have questions about the BCP itself, please visit the Google Groups.
The previous URLs are no longer active.
