Hey everyone,

I just installed Commerce Kickstart and am loving it so far, but I don't see an easy way to add an SSL certificate. What is the recommended way for doing this? Are you supposed to install the Secure Pages module or is there some other method?

(I expected that there would be a way built into Commerce Kickstart as a turnkey solution.)

Any best practice advice would be very helpful!

Thanks,
Ben

In drupal 6 with Ubercart, I use securepages and it works fine. The same module (secure for drupal 7 does not seem to be ready (issues with drupal 7 core). Can someone please advise how to secure drupal commerce, assuming the site already has a working cert?

This is outside the projects scope. You can use securepages as proposed, but you can also use an all server solution where no module is needed, but the ssl tweaks are done serverside. That said, I know both Pantheon, Omega8.cc and Commerce Guys own hosting solution will probably be helful if you are hosted at them.
