It is important to follow the

It is important to follow the documentation on migrating the site (traceable from the documentation menu item at the top of this page).

In your position the first thing I do is check that that the server actually works. If you make a file called test.html and put the words 'Hello World' or something like in it, and upload it, and it does not load, you know the problem is with your server not with Drupal. If it is does work, and your server is OK, please indicate which documentation page you followed for your migration.

Another common problem the upload of the genuine Drupal .htaccess has failed.

It is also useful to know whether you are on shared hosting or running your own server. On shared hosting your first resource is to raise a support ticket. If they do not help, but blame your site, fire the hosting company and move to a more Drupal-friendly host. On the other hand if you are running your own unmanaged server, these forums are probably the best place to ask for help.

Thank you John_B, but now only my home page is running, clicking on any other link is producing the error
"The requested document was not found on this server. "

Please indicate which documentation you followed when migrating the site. If the documentation lacked information about clearing caches we can update it, so that others will not face this problem (I answer these questions on migration often, sometimes twice in one day, usually owing to problems people have using, or failing to find, the correct documentation, as I indicated in my earlier post).
