I've replaced the site logo with my own picture 763 pixels wide x 162 pixels high. In IE, the heading covers the top part of the main page. I have tried changing the CSS but nothing I do has any effect on the header height. Any suggestions?

Hello,

The size of the logo was never meant to be so large and still work with the layout. You could try disabling the logo in your themes settings, /admin/build/themes/settings/aberdeen or in your page.tlp.php. After you have done that add the logo as a background image to the header (See line 225) and adjust the CSS to fit your needs.
