Hey everyone,
There used to be a sort of Beginner's Guide that started on the second page (distributions?) of this website - it had an awesome explanation of nodes, blocks and other content types. Each section also had a practice exercise after it. I noticed it has been moved from the second page - does anyone know where it went - I thought this was an awesome tutorial for Drupal and now i can't find it!
Cheers from Atlanta and thanks to anyone who replies to this...

Menu on top

I think if you click no documentation from the top menu and choose Understanding Drupal it got that kind of information.

Entering The Dip and trying to win over it.

I appreciate the reply but

I appreciate the reply but that's not what I'm looking for. I've looked through all the links on the Documentation page. This was very a specific "mini-book" with multiple chapters about nodes, blocks, users, etc - and there were exercises, including sample emails from your Boss saying let's do this now, let's add this person, let's make this specific change...one person who left a comment on it said if they had read this before they starting doing anything else with Drupal they would have advanced so much faster. As I recall, this link didn't really seem to belong on the page where it was located (I remember specifically it was one page off the Drupal.org home page and the link was over on the right side) but I kept going back to it over and over since it was such a great reference. Here's hoping someone who reads this has a clue what I'm talking about and will recall seeing where it has been moved to (I sure hope it hasn't been totally deleted...if so, someone went to an awful lot of work for no reason!)

found it

it was the book Drupal 7 -the Essentials and can be found in the Community Documentation at http://drupal.org/node/1576418. This is a MUST read for Drupal newbies!
