Unable to use Mailhandler/Feed Importer to post to a specific forum

I've been trying to get Mailhandler connected to a Feed Importer to allow posts from unauthenticated user into a predetermined forum. I know the Mailhandler portion of it is working because the mail is actually imported. Unfortunately, it's not assigned to any particular forum. When I go look at the forum message via the "content" menu I get the following:

.Error messageNotice: Undefined property: stdClass::$forum_tid in forum_form() (line 736 of C:\Apache2.2\htdocs\csx-support\modules\forum\forum.module).

I've tried specifying the forum via each of the following:
tid: 13
taxonomy: [CSXSupportLogger]
taxonomy: ["CSXSupportLogger"]
taxonomy: ['CSXSupportLogger']

None of them seem to work. Any idea what's going on?

The other thing I'd like to do is to get the Senders email address/name shown as the author, even though they're not authenticated with the site.
