The biblio_date field is limited to 16 characters. There are times when we would like to use dates that are longer than that--e.g., 'December 10-12, 2012' or 'Friday, December 21, 2012'. Obviously this is something that can be easily changed in the database, but before I do that, I want wanted to check here first. Is there any reason why increasing the size of the field to, say, 32 characters might cause problems?

I don't see why it would be a problem to increase the length.
