Using drupal 7x on Windows 8 Locally

Hi.

I have recently installed Windows 8 onto my laptop and trying to use Drupal 7x via the Acquia Dev Desktop i am unable to open up my site. I select the 'go to my site' button but nothing happens.

Does anyone know if there are isues using Windows 8 and Drupal?

I look forward to any feedback you can provide.

Hi. No i have not received any feedback on this yet. I have also posted this on Twitter for Acquia Drupal and Drupal but again no one has responded. I am hoping to have some feedback from someone soon as this is driving me mad.

Some of the error logs are showing the following:
