Choosing e-commerce solution

I'm new to Drupal 7. I need to decide what commerce solution to use with a Drupal 7 install.
The store itself is standard: I will have a product picture, price and description.
I want to be able to set up different pricing scales for users that have registered and been approved as discounted users. What's the best solution for me?

Hi,

You have basically 2 options : use the ubercart module or build your site using the drupal commerce framework.
The first one is more straightforward, easy to plug in existing installation (I'm using it for years now).
The second is more powerfull but you'll need to get your hands in the mud to achieve your needs.
As a good starting point, you could find several profiles ready to use in the download section.
