I would like to open original image in a new window.

stracture - > manage display -> Link image to content, and open the original image in the same window,

Can I user External link to work this place ?

Any suggestion, or more suitable module, please help

External links will do this if you're linking to an external image. But per the name of this module, it's intended to handle links to other websites, not a general "open anything in a new window" solution. I would suggest looking into any number of Lightbox-type modules. Lightbox2, Colorbox, etc. See http://drupal.org/node/266126.

actually, I researched all of Lightbox-type modules, but all of them do not adopted which I want to do in Drupal7.
If we use Lightbox-type modules, Light box2 is the best choice, it's no doubt, because that have a lot of options.

Maybe, I need write some code in myself on template.php or somewhere.
