2 questions:

1 - is this the module that drupal.org uses to interface with the mailing lists on the page drupal.org/mailing-lists ?

2 - This module seems to be a bit dead since July. Is there any plans to continue work on it? whats missing from making a stable release?

This is NOT the module used by Drupal for its mailing lists as I do not believe that Drupal uses Mailman Manager for their mailing lists.

Development on this module is now active once again for the 5.x branch and will soon be branched into 6.x.

Just a note that http://drupal.org/project/lists is used on drupal.org Also, mailman is the engine behind the mailing lists, but i'm fairly sure they are managed through its standard interface not drupal.
