URL alias gets deleted on update

Hi,

We have this weird problem with our drupal set up where every time an existing node is updated, the URL alias gets deleted and the node reverts back to node/nid. I have no idea why this is happening, how do I fix it?
Also in general settings I am using ( Do nothing. Leave the old alias intact.) option.

exact version of drupal and pathauto?

Drupal 6.
Pathauto 6.x-1.1

exact version of drupal please Drupal 6.x< what is the x

of note, pathauto 1.1 is 5 release behind the latest version. You should update to see if the issue hasn't already been fixed.
