Problems with drutex on Mac OS X

Hi, I have drupal set up on Mac OS X 10.4. I've installed drutex. The installation didn't give me any problems, but when I use the drutex input format when writing any content, I get a message saying: "TeX Embedding failed!". Does anyone know if there's anything extra that needs to be done?
Please note that I have LaTeX installed and all the standard commands (e.g. pdflatex, etc) work perfectly well. I also have a fully functional drupal.
