I don't mean to flame and would post this offline if your contact form was enabled. And please take this note with a grain of salt - as I do think this is a great module and I applaud everyone who contributes to the advancement of Drupal.
However, I do think that you should consider changing the name of this module. "Block" is an established term in the Drupal space. It's integral to theming, it's a hook call, etc. Just by it's name, I anticipated that this module would relate to the block system - providing an advanced/custom search block.
Since this module was released fairly recently, it seems like a name change wouldn't hurt it's development. Obviously, it's your call. Again, please take this comment with a grain of salt.
And thanks for your work.

WorldFallz commented+1 for misunderstanding also-- i skipped over this module a bunch of times figuring it had something to do with "blocks" (the noun) as opposed to the verb "block". I was actually in the middle of trying to figure out how to do this for my site when I stumbled across what it really does... and OMG
THANK YOU!
LOL, seriously. This saved me a lot of work. Doesn't seem to be correcting the advanced search form though so if i get this implemented for my site I'll be sure to post back the patch for ya.
Thanks again for a MUCH needed module!

deviantintegral commentedI agree, I just didn't have a better name!
So give me some suggestions, and I'll find out what it takes to rename a project.

deviantintegral commentedThanks Michelle. I like "Restricted Search", I'll see what it takes to get this renamed.

deviantintegral commentedI've renamed the project page so this is clearer for those searching for this kind of functionality. Apparently projects can't be renamed in CVS, so the code will have to remain using the term 'search_block'.
