Having installed Commerce Kickstart demo store, I also installed Ckeditor with IMCE. However, Ckeditor does not work.
I have installed these modules in another demo site (by ATthemes) where they work perfectly.

CK editor is working for me so I can only suggest:

  1. make sure it's configured for Commerce Order Message, filtered and full html in your wysiwyg profiles
  2. be sure to enable filtered text on all body fields of all your content types (default is plain text)
  3. check your permissions

I haven't tried using IMCE with the text editor because it's very slow, I use the Insert module which works with the image module that is already installed on Commerce Kickstart

Title: Text editor does not work » Add CKEditor
Assigned: lyd » Unassigned
Category: bug » feature
Priority: Major » Normal

Seems like a configuration problem, nothing more to be done.

However, I would like to turn this into a feature request. Shipping with CKEditor 4.0 would be a nice UX improvement.
Drupal Commons has recently added CKEditor as well as the necessary configuration (#1879036: Replace Aloha with CKEditor via CKEditor project) so we can use their approach (at least as inspiration), which should save us time.

Just talked with bojanz and jsacksick about this feature request. Determined http://drupal.org/project/better_formats might be a way forward. The ability to assign text filtering defaults per field is required to make certain entities behave.

Coming from this discussion / solution on dc.org ... http://www.drupalcommerce.org/discussions/5350/ckeditorwysiwyg-not-worki...
