Need some help with configuring actions and rules

i was wondering if i could get done with rules and actions something like this :

i have a store built in ubercart but i dont want that products to be available all the time but just a period of time that i will give. after that period of time passes the product must have a warning displayed in full content and also in teaser (view list) that the product time has expired. i want to use this for special offerts. can anyone tell me how can i do this ?
