In the second paragraph, the word "centralised" is correct in England english, but in American english, it should be "centralized".1 Drupal seems to be more friendly to American English as far as I know, but I'm not positive.

Well, I am not aware of our relation to either US or British English. So I would say we are not "fixing" this by switching it to the other version.

Halfway running some searches through core I see the following examples in core comments:

  • color rather than colour
  • favorite rather than favourite
  • center rather than centre
  • license rather than licence

That said, however, this is a very minor problem at best.

Hm, I would not say I care either way. I do think there are other spelling inconsistencies in Drupal if you look a bit closer. Anyway, committed this one.
