I have seen several discussions on this topic but haven't seen anything that matches what I'm trying to do.
I would like to create a mini bio that gets listed next to the teaser of a post. I have a featured posts block that displays the five most recent posts for a specific content type. I have the image to the left, the teaser text in the middle and I have a column on the right where I have a share button and would like to include a thumbnail of the author, a snippet of their bio and a link back to their author page. I know how to create and display the block, but don't understand how to get the correct author.
I'm using Profile2 to build the author page, and am confident in setting up views to pull in the parts I need from the author's profile. Where I'm stumbling is being able to display the proper author that matches the post displayed. I'm assuming I need to create some sort of argument or relationship, but I'm not familiar with what needs to be included or how to set one up

Update
I noticed with the view for the author's page, the fields I created were available.
I have the following fields - profile: User UID - profile: Author Image - profile: Author Name
The trouble I'm having now, is the profile fields are not showing as an option in the views I have for the content.
Anyone have any ideas?

Found a possible solution
For anyone that has a similar question or issue, I believe I have found a very powerful solution. I will be adding the display suite module which should give me complete control over author content and display. I'll add a comment to confirm once I have it all working.
Still having trouble
After many more hours of frustration, I still haven't been able to accomplish this seemingly simple task.
For some reason, the tokens available for profile2 are not printing anything. When I set up custom fields for Display Suite there are tokens showing as available from profile2, but nothing seems to be working. I can use any other token and I get results, but nothing from profile2 is working.
Can anyone tell me how to proceed, or what to check to troubleshoot what is happening.
