New Drupal Job Board
allen074 - October 18, 2007 - 21:24
Hi All - I thought this might be news worthy. I am the founder of a social media site called CenterNetworks. It's Drupal, yea!
We just added a new job board to the site which is built via views and some theme customization. Check it out here:
http://www.centernetworks.com/jobs
Here is my launch post about the board:

Jeremy from KernelTrap was brought in for the coding and I did the theme integration.
If you have any ideas for improvements, please let me know. And if you are interested in posting a job, send me a note and I will provide a significant discount for any Drupal job postings.
Thanks!

Nice Board
The board seems to integrate well with the feel of your site. Did you test out the free job board module first? I've been thinking about developing one and not really satisfied with the available module. Did you think the best way to go was through views and theme customization? I guess as the board expands (cause it surely will) it might be a good idea to make more pricing strategies available and/or resume uploading and an automated application strategy. If anyone has something like this out there I'd be interested in hearing about it. Keep up the good work Allen!!!
Cheers, ian
Have to say, great job man!
Have to say, great job man! I know stuff goes unnoticed here, so consider this you acclaim, really well done. Any more to give on it by chance? And didn't realise CN is on the Drup!
I would suggest
you first let user to add the job post (unpublished) and then make the payment (which publish the post).
thanks simul - i didn't go
thanks simul - i didn't go that way because the development time would have been much greater as we would then need ecommerce modules and some others.
the way it works now has been smooth so far - person goes to paypal, pays, then enters their data. this has also allowed me to post jobs from other sources easily as well.
your idea was the original plan though and we may still do that as the board grows.
Nice looking site
Good work.
What did you do to build the job list? CCK? A View? A custom built table code?
All the best,
Mike
sorry all for the delay in

no module for the payment -
no module for the payment - what i do is route people to paypal, they pay, then they get the posting form... I'd like to integrate a payment system but nothing apparently works 100% so this was the best I could come up with.
