since the other guy never responded, i will follow up.

The cursor doesn't show in text fields on firefox. Seems to be an issue with fixed positioning, but with my current theme setup, i must use "fixed". Works fine in IE.

Problem exists in 2.0.0.8 and previous version of FF

I'm sorry, but this seems to be a bug in Firefox, which can not be fixed in admin_menu. So if you do not come up with a tricky workaround for this bug, we can't do anything here.

However, you might try this patch, which changes the way how admin_menu is loaded.
