This is most intriguing...

Go to http://quidne.vacilando.org/bg and and click any of the images right-column block; they will open using Lightbox2.

Now go to http://quidne.vacilando.org/contact which also has the same block enabled. Click any image -- it opens normally, without Lightbox2!

Note that the latter is the usual system contact page. Lightbox2 works on all created nodes, but not in anything in system folders. Similarly (can't show it to you) Lightbox2 does not work in a block enabled on eg http://quidne.vacilando.org/admin/build/block and other admin pages.

Why is that and how to fix it???

Hi,

What are your lightbox2 settings? It looks like the javascript isn't being loaded at all on the contact page, could it be that you have it as one of the disabled urls? Perhaps try the latest release.

Everything standard, nothing unusual. Note, it's not only the /contact page -- all admin pages as well!
Did you try a Lightbox2 image in a block on your /contact or admin page -- does it work for you? On D5.2.

Yes, it works fine for me in the random images block. Can you send me your lightbox2 settings so I can test with the same setup? Perhaps ensure you have no empty spaces in the disable url box but i don't see how that could be a problem.

Can you try the latest release? Maybe this issue has been fixed already.

What themes are you using? Do you have a different admin theme to the rest of your site? Could this be the same issue as #185173?

I am using the same theme, newsflash, as admin theme.

Note I am using the latest version in the meantime. Just updated the version for this thread.

Does it only happen when the brilliant gallery module is enabled? It works fine for me using the Random Image block in the sidebar. I have installed the latest version of brilliant gallery (5.x-2.13) on my test site, but I can't get anything to appear in the Brilliant Gallery block. However, I have a working brilliant gallery on a page node using the [bg|test] syntax (with multilingual modules disabled).

I'm sure it's a Brilliant Gallery problem however. I just find it strange that the lightbox javascript files are not even included on your contact page.

Do you have any performace settings enabled (admin/settings/performance)?

Does it work when using lightbox lite?

Under performance, I have "Aggregate and compress CSS files" switched on. I tried to switch it off, cleared cache, loaded /contact -- no improvement (Lightbox2 still not working). Cache is disabled there.

You can now install new version of BG (the i18n problem is solved). Note that the basic gallery, which is at /brilliant_gallery will not work either (you must have images in the default folder). The lightbox .js is missing there as well. I cannot be sure but I think I am not the only one with this problem. See this bug thread: http://drupal.org/node/184113 -- the user did not confirm s/he's using the default gallery, but I think it is obvious from the path. So I think s/he has the same problem.

I can confirm this is happening on this 5.2 install of Drupal at the site I have indicated, but also at http://www.nezbud.org/contact which is using Garland theme. The same is happening on a different Drupal 5.2 installation on a different server (using Newsflash theme).

Switched on Lightbox Lite, cleared cache --> same problem.

I suggest you try it on your server; the behaviour is so consistent that I guess you will experience the same and that will help you to identify the problem quicker.
