I submitted an D7 core database issue that was moved to D8 with the status "postponed (maintainer needs more info)". The maintainer's specific question was:

Can you reproduce this in D8?

Since I don't know how the new database API in D8 works, I don't know how I can realistically reproduce the issue. I'm willing to try! But can someone help me figure out where to find the relevant docs on migrating D7 queries to D8?

Specifically I'm wondering about a query that involves PagerDefault.
