When calling faq_page directly from a theme with a term id that contains children, the display is empty. This occurs if the display is set to be 'questions at the top'. The problem is caused by a typo on $sub_cat_data where it is written $sub_cata_data. Attached is a diff that shows the fix. Apologies for not doing the whole patch thing - a bit new at this.
