Recent content block does not show

Issue Summary

In panels I have added the widget type of Recent content and set the panel page to my home page. The only way that the "Recent content" will show is if I enable the block and set "Show block on specific pages to but then it shows up as a block and in the panel.

Any thoughts?

i wish i could help you.. i am here too looking for an answer on how my "Recent content" suddently disappeared lol ..
