How to show an boolean field value in node display (eg. special offer )

I have an boolean field (special offer) for an product and i want to show it in the product display as an picture or as an different background color for the products that have that field checked. Can i do it from theme ? or I must show the field in node display and theme it?

Yes, you must theme it, and make sure to show the field in its relevant view mode (Manage display). Each field usually has some classes that you can style it via CSS.
