What about Drupal 5 - is there no need for this module in 5? or is there any other module that will do the same with drupal5? Thanks!

Actually, some research would have to be done to see whether this module is still the best solution for the issue it solves.

Drupal 5 compatibility had already been mentioned in http://drupal.org/node/149665.
