Hey all, I am just trying to get the Calendar block to display S M T W T F S instead of Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat . I have discovered someone else making this tweak, but their instruction no longer applies because the event.module no longer has a hardcoded array for days of the week:
http://drupal.org/node/28941 (about halfway down the comments)
The abbreviations force the calendar block to become too wide on our Bluebreeze-based theme, a problem other folks seem to be having as well. It would be nice to set the default Calendar page's date abbreviations to the full Monday Tuesday Wednesday style. If these could be set on the Event admin page, that would be sweet and I would try to help with such a patch (tho I have little experience with these).
If this is redundant I'm sorry, I tried to cover previous work - after all the link above has a solution for an old version. I skimmed around in event.module and couldn't even find the original function linked above. Thanks for the great module guys!

japerryEvent for Drupal 8 is unrelated to older versions. If an issue similar to this one exists, please open a new issue with the 8.x branch.
