Hi,

I have installed the Wysiwyg module with the NicEdit plugin which seems to be working fine except there is no option to upload an image into the content. If you have a look on the NicEdit website here http://nicedit.com/ and checkout the demo there is a button to upload an image. When I downloaded it there was an option during the download to include 'NicUpload' which I did but cant seem to find how to do it.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

Aaron

I haven't used NicEdit, but

I haven't used NicEdit, but the WYSIWYG profile configuration determines what options provided by the editor library are enabled. So I would expect a checkbox there to enable the option.

It's also possible that the upload function is not supported by WYSIWYG API, it doesn't always support all specific options. In that case you could consider using the Media module.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I

Hi, thanks for the reply. I already checked all the boxes I wanted and couldn't see anything regards specifically uploading images, thanks for the sggestion thou - I guess it just musnt be supported at the moment. I will checkout the media module tho - will this work along side the current plugin or ould I need to disable the Wysiwyg module?

Thanks

It's always good to do a little research on modules like WYSIWYG before installing (particularly any of the libraries). NiceEdit seems to have a few issues image upload wise. One user hacked together something in 6.x with the imagebrowser module, but unless you're willing to go back to 6 and you feel comfortable modifying a module I wouldn't go that route...

You'd be better off installing CKeditor or IMCE (in leu of NiceEdit).

ok thanks for that, ill

ok thanks for that, ill checkout 1 of those you mensioned and see how I get on.

Cheers

The Media module should work

The Media module should work together with WISYWIG + your editor library, it will provide an upload button you can enable for your wysiwyg profile.
