Hi, is there a way to show the rating-stars under the image in the image block?

I dont know, but reading http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Modules:rating it doesnt seem so: "Enable voting option as an overlay of image blocks" (#5 under feature requests).

Marking 'by design' as this cant be solved on the Drupal side. You may want to file a feature request for this at https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=7130&atid=357130 ... (pls search for existing request first ;))
