Please Help! Post a comment option has disappeard

I am very new to Drupal and this error seems very odd. When you view an entry on my site (openecosource.org) usually there is a large box at the bottom of each entry where other users can post a comment. This has disappeared for my new posts (not the older ones) and I don't know why so it must be something I have done. I tried using the 'theme settings' module but I have since uninstalled it. I did change user access for my comment to where only authenticated users could post comments but I have since changed it back. I am wondering if there is anything else that I need to do. Thank you in advance.

did you disable comments on the content type itself ?

goto: administer -> content types -> edit
inspect the settings of the content type you are having a problem with
specifically this field: Default comment setting:

sidenote: In future test new modules on a test site , so you don't risk your production environment and panic when something goes wrong.

thanks!

Yeah, did the trick, although not for the entries where it was not an option, it's not that big of a deal though. Thanks!

for individuals edit the entry, and check the collapsed drop down menus below the text area.
