Currently the sandbox project of beanstag at http://drupal.org/sandbox/beansboxchrispang/1189124 implements a way of handling metatags in a different way, which I believe is superior than that of the current metatag mod method.

It creates a list of path based metatag data in structure > beanstag (screenshot structure-beanstag.png) . The advantage of doing it this way is that it's far easier and quicker to edit multiple meta info from one centralised page rather than having to go to each individual node page and click the meta tab... The time saved by adopting the approach of beanstag would greatly benefit the user.

Some users will prefer this centralized approach - others maybe not but it will be left uninstalled by default when enabling metatag mod. I'll contact the beanstag author to suggest implementing this by using metatags API - but i'm not sure that the author will be interested - could this approach be implemented by anyone for metatag as a sub-module?

It was suggested that I post this request by current active maintainer DamienMcKenna, so this is not a request that in anyway goes against the current way metatag mod works or will work.

Please note i'd do this myself if I knew how to - i'm a designer and learning developer. It will be next year before I can contribute stable drupal patches/fixes/mods.

Great idea getting all metatag modules into one package. :)

I've made a request with the official beanstag creater here > http://drupal.org/node/1859316

Update the beanstag creator is not going to using metatags API.

Would anyone be interested in creating this style of sub-module for metatag? I'm sure it will be used.
