I'm new to Drupal and I'm looking for a recommended hosting provider that
is appropriate for a beginner experimenting with the platform. I can always change hosting provider if speed and other resources become a priority.
I'd like to find a provider that has a monthly hosting fee, in comparison to paying upfront for the entire year.
Webhostinggeeks.com has hundreds of 5 star user reviews for Webhostinghub. However they don't have a month to month hosting fee option.
Please share your recommendations.

I always recommend MDD
I always recommend MDD hosting. Their shared hosting works well, and their semi-dedicated hosting is even better. Both can be paid for on a month-to-month basis, and the service with MDD is excellent (I've been with them longer than any other host I've been with, and I've been through a lot over the years).

MDD might be good hosting,
MDD might be good hosting, but since PO has specified he is looking for "good for beginners" hosting provider, then I would suggest choosing one of the Drupal-specific hosting companies listed on http://www.drupalspecific.com
Hosting for beginners
What, exactly, about MDDHosting makes you say that are not suitable for beginners? Have you had a bad experience with them?
When I used them, I knew a lot less than I do now, and I found their support always prompt, courteous, and clear - excellent for any beginner.
That said, it is now 4 months since the OP asked their question and Jay responded, so I'm guessing they've probably found a host by now ;-)

Yes, they have excellent
Yes, they have excellent support. They are the only host I've ever re-signed with multiple years running.
That said, I'm also happy to put in another plug - one of my clients is using Oak Hosting (run by James above) and I've found the support to be very personal, and would have no problems recommending them as well!

Since the link in question is was created by the poster and their company is the second in the list and this post is several months old, it would seem that this is nothing but a poorly camouflaged attempt at link spam.
WebHostingHub is good for
WebHostingHub is good for Drupal. You could host a relatively low traffic site with them as what HUB provide is a shared web hosting. Considering Webhostinghub guarantee 90 days full money back and the prorated refund after it, it's not a bad idea to sign up a long term service with them to save big.
If you want monthly hosting, then Arvixe is a good option for sure. it's listed in http://drupal.org/hosting as well. You could use coupon code in http://best-cheap-hosting.com/arvixe-review/ to save 30% in your first billing cycle.
Try shared hosting by
Try shared hosting by EURO-SPACE , they have month-to-month payment option without contracts. Cheap plans are available for beginners and support is also high quality.
