Thanks to #1717720: Offer styling for full node display it is now possible to display biblio nodes in a custom citation format, which means that the node title is redundant since the publication title appears in the full citation. There should be an option to hide the "drupal" title in the "Styling" tab next to where one can set the default citation format.

If the maintainer of biblio is open to such feature, I can volunteer to implement it. Let me know.
