Amazon Examples Module running locally via WAMP

Hi all,

I have installed drupal 7.x, amazon module, and required modules for amazon to run including features, views, ctools, etc. I've also configured my aws keys and associate id. The problem i'm running into is that I just can't get any data to feed from amazon. No thumbnail, product title, etc. Is this because i'm running local server via wamp, or am I missing something?
