Automatically created menu from an Outline?

Any hints about how to automatically create a menu (that can be used with e.g. the nice_menus module) from an outline?
Would it require extensive coding et.c., or can it be implemented in an easy way?

( Any other hints about how to to do this from either an outline, or from a book, would also be highly appreciated )
