So I was following this great video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2teIqWfvGQ ), until I became stumped... When i go to drupaltutor.com it takes me to this page drupal tutor, login username and password, instead of showing me how to install by steps???

I have not watched the video so cannot comment on whether it is good. There are good and bad ways to install Drupal. All the ways of installing Drupal which you can read about from the Documentation section of this site (see tab at top of this page) are good. My suggestion would be to use the one you feel most comfortable with and steer clear of any installation method not listed there.
To get a feel for Drupal with a lot of the installation problems taken care of for you, you can also look at Drupal Gardens.
