I think the webform module has a great potential to allow administrators the ability to create forms that would give non admin the ability to create formatted pages. Let me explain with an example. I would like to create a webform that would allow coaches to create pages for their athletic teams. Webform would allow the coach to enter information into predefined fields. Admin can then design a results page and a detail page that would access the information in the database.
Does anyone think that webforms has this potential, or is there another module that is available or going to be available that would do this better?

ullgren commentedIf you want the coaches to enter information such as team name, teammembers, homearena and so on I would go for flexinode.
As I understand your needs webform is NOT the way to go.

There is a distinct difference between webform and flexinode, webform is designed to channel multiple structured inputs through a single displayed form and store them in the database. Flexinode, on the other hand, takes multiple structured inputs and creates multiple displayed forms.
Flexinode is therefore ideal for things like auction items, or HAZMAT tables where you want a collection or nodes that have all the same structure, and which are immediately visible and editable.
The 'create content' page of webform is designed to create a new webform. It would be possible to have another 'create content' item of webform, something like 'create webform view' this would allow admins to create a view form of webform data which may include lists or 'latest' data in a view that may be differently structured from the actual webform used to harvest the data. This form would be somewhat like flexinode however it would have the view hooks onto webform data. It may be easier to extend flexinode to incorporate these hooks.
Is this the sort of thing you mean?

jaskegreen commentedYes, I think that is exactly what I'm looking for. I will give flexinode a further look.
