Hi, could you please create an autocomplete field to search for modules?

Right now it takes too long to find the module you need. When you want to browse the modules by "name" usually the browser crashes because the page is too long, could you check the box for "Use Pager" and show 50 nodes per page on that view?!

That's not a view, so I'm not sure how hard it will be to change that. I also think that there is some value in having all modules on one page.

Note that you can search them like this search for ajax: http://drupal.org/search/node/type%3Aproject_project+ajax perhaps what we need is some better guidance to help people discover that search capability.

Also, while this is important I don't see it as critical. Critical is reserved for "site totally down" errors.

Webmaster Issue Queue Cleanup - 2 year old issue

In the last 2 years we got the Solr search and a lot of enhancements for the module pages, and I'm sure there's been other changes planed for the redesign.

So is this still an issue? Or can it be marked as won't fix?
